Mate Factor Organic Fresh Green Yerba Mate — premium certified organic Ilex paraguariensis loose leaf, harvested fresh and processed immediately to preserve natural enzymes, vitamins, and bio-active compounds. Smoke-free, clean-tasting, richer in antioxidants than green tea. Fair trade sourced. USDA Organic, certified by Clemson DPI. Available in 100g and 340g (12 oz).

Why

Yerba maté (Ilex paraguariensis) has been treasured in South America for centuries as a naturally energising herbal tea — delivering smooth, sustained energy from a unique combination of natural caffeine, theobromine, and theophylline, without the jitteriness or crash associated with coffee. But most yerba maté on the market is aged for at least a year before it reaches you — a process that depletes natural enzymes, vitamins, and bio-active compounds, and often involves smoke-drying that gives the tea a harsh, smoky flavour. Mate Factor does things differently. Their yerba maté is processed immediately upon harvest, carefully heat-dried (not smoke-dried) to protect its nutrients and natural flavour, sealed in airtight packaging, and rush exported to preserve every bit of its natural vitality. The result is a genuinely fresh, smooth, smoke-free cup of yerba maté that is richer in antioxidants, polyphenols, and bio-active compounds than conventionally processed maté — and more antioxidant-rich than green tea. USDA Organic, certified by Clemson DPI. Fair trade sourced. Mate Factor — fresh yerba maté specialists.

Formula Highlights
  • Organic Yerba Maté Leaf (Ilex paraguariensis), fresh-harvested — a holly-family shrub native to South America; contains a unique trio of xanthine alkaloids: caffeine (primary stimulant), theobromine (milder, longer-lasting stimulant also found in cacao), and theophylline (bronchodilator and mild stimulant); together these provide smooth, sustained energy without the jitteriness or crash of coffee; also rich in polyphenols (chlorogenic acids, quercetin, rutin), chlorophyll, Vitamins C, B1, and B2, and minerals including chromium, copper, iron, manganese, potassium, and zinc; Mate Factor’s fresh-harvest, heat-dry, airtight-seal process preserves a higher concentration of these bio-active compounds than conventionally aged and smoke-dried maté
