About Ferrochel® Iron Bisglycinate

Iron bisglycinate is a chelated form of iron bound to amino acids, which may improve absorption and reduce digestive side effects commonly associated with iron supplements, such as constipation, nausea, or stomach irritation.

Important Considerations

36 mg is a relatively high iron dose and may not be appropriate unless iron deficiency or increased iron needs are present. Excess iron can accumulate in the body and may be harmful, especially in people with conditions such as hemochromatosis.

Iron supplements are often best taken:

  • with vitamin C to improve absorption,

  • away from calcium supplements,

  • away from coffee, tea, or high-fiber meals, which may reduce absorption.

Warnings
  • Keep out of reach of children

  • Iron overdose can be fatal in young children

  • Do not exceed recommended dosage unless advised by a healthcare professional

  • Consult a healthcare provider if pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication, or managing a medical condition

Best For
  • Iron deficiency support

  • Low ferritin or low iron intake

  • Vegetarians and vegans

  • Women with increased iron needs

  • People sensitive to standard iron supplements

  • Energy and red blood cell support
